Privacy

You share very personal things with A Word of Comfort. That is why privacy has been built into this app from the start.

What we store

  • The text you write or dictate is sent to the server only to create the answer.
  • In this version conversations are not stored on a server or in a database.
  • The “Earlier moments” history is saved only in your own browser (localStorage).
  • We do not collect your name, email or other identifying details in this version.

What we don't do

  • We don't use what you share for advertising or profiling.
  • We don't sell or hand over personal data.
  • We don't use your texts to train AI models.

Deleting your data

You can delete a single moment or the entire history from the “Earlier moments” section on the home page. Deletion is immediate and permanent. When sign-in is added later, you will also be able to delete your whole account and every conversation linked to it.

Speech and voice

Dictation and listening use your browser's own speech features. We never store audio recordings.

Use of AI

An AI service is used to create the answer. Only the text you send is passed to it – no identifying information.

Security

Connections are encrypted. When sign-in is enabled, secure authentication will be used and conversations protected so that only you can access them.
